Mentor Network – Mentor Open Call
Mentor Open Call
One-to-one mentoring for innovative IoT companies with the sector’s most experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders.
Why are we doing this?
As IoT SMEs work on building the next generation of technology for businesses and consumers, they will meet a number of common challenges. These include finding appropriate business models, raising investment and marketing.
Helping IoT SMEs navigate the complexities of getting their solution to market, as well as managing to scale the business successfully benefits not only the SME but also the wider UK economy.
The IoTUK Mentor Network provides small companies and entrepreneurs with access to a large number of experienced technology business leaders and entrepreneurs who can support and challenge ambitious IoT companies.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for mentors that have valuable experience to share in business or bringing emerging technologies to market. We have found in our survey that SMEs respond best to mentors that have been in their shoes and who can offer real-life insights into their challenges.
To be considered as a Mentor you will need to meet the following criteria:
- Proven entrepreneurial or leadership experience in the tech industry
- Strong interest in the Internet of Things
- Ability to listen, challenge and provide constructive advice
How will it work?
Successful mentor applicants will be invited to attend a speed matching event where they will have the opportunity to meet and select their preferred SMEs. SMEs and mentors will then be matched and following an initial mentoring session will commit to at least 10 mentoring sessions over a six month period.
Click “APPLY ONLINE” above to submit your application to be a Mentor in the IoTUK Mentor Network.
